old/new guy intro
Hey guys, I've been a member here for a long time, but this is my first post. I just traded an 03 M3 for an 01 Z. I traded an 02 Z for the M3 four months ago, but I missed the Z, so I came back. Just wanted to say hi.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I got the 01 because I'm going to modify it, so the minor shortcomings are of no concern. I could have bought my 02 back, but I wanted black this time, and most importantly, I got a good deal on it.

Welcome back! I've looked at BMW's over the years and just can't warm up to them. On the other hand, my modded '03 Z06 still excites me and I it have since new. It's the first car I've ever had this long that still doesn't bore me and I find a pleasure to drive every time I get in it. Still no desire to get a new one. Enjoy it!

Welcome back to the Z06 world... Disregard the whole 02-04 thing... I'll put my slightly modded 01 against an equally modded 02-04 any day.. They are essentially the "Same" car! Great choice my friend.

Yep, that stuff happens...
Just brought home my new-to-me 2001 MY/Black Z with head/cam this evening.
Sold my '08 M3 last week for a new daily for my wife (128i...surprisingly very sporty) and had to come back to the C5Z...had an '02 EB/MR with maggie a couple of years ago.
My love/lust for the LS6 has never left me...and the C5Z is just pure sex to me, I do like them much better than the C6 body.
Well, welcome back and good to be part of this brotherhood again.

On behalf of all the 01 ZO6 owners,welcome back to the fold!! Like one of the forum members said, VIRTUALLY the same car. Ive also got a slightly modded Z that would run past most 02-04 models. Also the whole Z line-up (01-04) models were consevatively rated. The 01 models were actually closer to 400hp. You have a great car!!
