With a little imagination and a LOT of Money, you can make the interior look any way you want to, if that is what turns you on! Most personalize the exterior to their liking first. Welcome Aboard~!

Vette Essentials makes great leather interior pieces and seat covers. I am very happy with my VE interior.

Not to sound rude but....If the only reason you would not buy a C5 is for the interior, you should think about something else. Most corvette purchase one because of its great handling, power, and looks. It is by far the best bang for your buck in a high performance car....period!

My door handle also came loose and it was an easy fix, the screws were loose. I ripped the door panel off and screwed them back in, no problems yet. I also used some locktight so it wouldn't happen again. Depending on how well you are with cars, you can take a panel off in 20-30 minutes.

The cheapness of the leather in the seats is what bothers me about the C5 interior. That's why I upgraded to baby seal hides. Supple, and snazzy!

It's decidedly poor quality and ill fitting.
I don't mind the way it looks, though.

You can upgrade the type of material for things like the seats, steering wheel, console lid, shift and e-brake boots, etc - vendors like Vette Essentials, Mid-America, etc have better than OEM products.

I've owned three C5s and not had any problems with things like the doors being of inferior quality.

All of my panels fit great. The quality is no worse than most cars in it's price range.

You'll need to spend $100K + for a better interior for another car with any kind of similar performance.

$10 K will give you a really nice interior and sound system.

Some C6 seats, Double Din Upgrade and stereo of your choice. Install some insulation (sound proofing), have leather dash, door panels, etc .... Done by APSIS or DownSouth Vettes. Too bad Vette Essentials does not do door panels and dash as they make some nice stuff.

How about this beautiful Nappa Leather Door Panel? We can make in whatever the spec you want and any part you want.

All other venders give you the domestic made leather but we give you the world famous Italian Nappa Leather. Whoever see our Door Panel in the Corvette show they all agree that our products are art of craftmanship.

We make tons of stuff for C5. We make the Lamination Real Carbon, Dip Print Carbon Look, Leather Wrap parts D-Shape SW....and many more. Please go to our web to check it out. www.apsisusa.com.

That 1st picture in that series. With the C5 logo on the screen. What kind of setup is that? And how did the C5 logo get on the screensaver? That is awesome!!

I have driven every single car you can imagine and I don't feel that the interior in my '03 is any cheaper or lower quality than most other cars.

I just recently had a friend of mine come over to show me his new '07 Honda S2000 and to be quite honest, I prefer the C5 interior to that. So did he, as a matter of fact. He seemed to be quite impressed with the interior when I took him for a drive. He said it had the "Jet fighter cockpit" feel.

Surprised no one has mentioned the most expensive but a great option too:

http://www.caravaggiocorvettes.com/dev2007/home.html

Everything in the interior can be redone...if you can dream it up, it can be done. Do not base your decision on the interior. You definately can work around it...

I could not say it better myself. Right now I am having my upgrades done by Chris at Carskinz! I can't wait!( will post pics when done). If you want a car with that great of an interior you have to pay 3-4 times the price of a Corvette. I always loved the Aston Martin interior's myself, but can't afford a DBS. Everyone though who has been in my car thinks it looks great as is, no one ever tells me it looks cheap or bad. I really like the option to customize to my personal taste though. Its what makes a Corvette really yours, and if that means the interior needs some personal upgrades to look better to ones self, then so be it.
