Is anyone using General tires on their C-5?

I've sold a couple of sets of the General Exclaim UHP to customers, and they've been very happy with them. It is a good choice for someone looking for a very economical tire. I wouldn't call it the highest performance tire, and it's probably not on par with the Goodyear GS-D3 or the Michelin PS2, but it's a reasonable choice.

I don't have them on the C5 but I've had Generals on several other cars and i've never been happy with them.

I just ordered a set for my Z...Luke at TR said they are the best deal going right now for the Z.

That being said for my C5 the best I have found is the BFG KDWs and the Toyo R1s

They suck for the first few thousand miles. The handling characteristics of this tire are horrible during this period. However, afterwards they are OK. They are by no means a performance tire, but definitely an affordable tire for a daily driver.

I currently have them on my 03. I have about 4k miles on them right now. This is my DD and I have had no problems. I would recommend them.

<----check my avatar..that was on a set of General UHPs at WGI. I purchased a set so I can have a tire to beat on while at the track. I was shocked at how well these tires performed for what they were. excellent OEM replacements

I have the Exclaim UHP's on my 99 coupe and, for the money, these are very good tires. They perform well beyond the runcraps that they replaced and they didn't brake the bank to obtain.....quiet, very good wet and dry traction, car hooks well under hard acceleration, and from what I've heard they wear well also. Whats not to like.. oh and they look good too!!!

Almost 5,000 on my Generals. Much better than the stock shoes that came on the car. Great in the rain. Very quiet, a bit more corner roll than the Goodyears, but virtually no trammeling.
