Ok so as of now I have an 01 coupe with a blackwing intake, vararam powerduct, corsa touring exhaust, poorly painted frc's, blacked out lights, zo6 screens, just ordered LED tail lights w/halo mod, but...... I really want to mod more and more!!
I don't have a huge budget, maybe looking to spend $500 ish but I want ideas on stuff I can do I'm torn between exterior, interior and performance mods. It seems I'm towards the end of the road on performance mods in terms of being relatively inexpensive lol. Trust me id love a cam and some lt headers but can't afford it. I just wanted to pick yalls brains and see what sort of things you've done or think I could do with that budget to have some fun and do some more mods
I just had my DRL's, taillights, and side markers smoked. It didn't really cost me anything since my painter buddy owed me a favor. Would cost ~$100 to have them done professionally.
We did it buy pulling the lights, scuffing them up with a red scotch-brite pad, cleaning with rubbing alcohol, prepping with 902 adhesive promoter, spraying 3 coats of black candy (black dye in intercoat clear) on the DRL and 4 coats on the taillights, and 3 coats of clear. It took about 2 hours to do, but since it was cold that evening I let the parts cure overnight and installed them the next morning.
Definitely repaint the frc's. Another inexpensive mods which looks great are painted brake calipers. Could also get Z06 rear brake ducts. Maybe get a rear tint.
Here's some of mine, from your posts it seems we have similar cars.
Oh, and I live in Euless in case you would like to see the car, I also have different turn signals, ZO6 FRCs, lowered on stock suspension, the calipers are oem so they are not painted, rather powder coated, etc.

Alex I may have to come see your vette sometime looks like a sweet ride. I live in Southlake, but am at college in San Antonio now. Do you go to any vette events and stuff in Dallas? I haven't been to any yet and would love to check em out. LMK
I do go to some events when I am not lazy. Not sure where Southlake is but if it's not too far sure we can meet up. I'm surrently looking for a new set of mods myself LMAO. Vette only meets, I shy away from as they get redundant. I'm hoping we can schedule another get together. The last one was pretty good from what I heard, but I missed it LOL.

It really depends on what you're looking for. As for me I like DIY mods. The pic below of the painted items I did myself. Took a little elbow grease and time but an inexpensive mod. Although the total cost was around 300.00 with the exception of the purchase of the decals for the FRC. They run about 60.00 bucks, it is a great feeling when you can take credit for the compliments that come your way. Good luck on your project.
