Default Active Handling Warming Up ????

Anybody experience this message on their DIC? It has occurred to me twice now on my ZO6. I had a 2000 vert prior and never saw this message. On the two occasions it happened, I'm fairly certain the car was warm. The message only lasted for two or three minutes and then disappeared. Hope this isn't an omen of things to come. Input appreciated.

Dennis

Have had that message a couple times. Does not seem to be a problem. Also get active handling warmed up at end of autox run sometimes. Heard that is from not driving car far enough before starting run.

It's normal.

Like they say, if all else fails, read the instructions. There is a blurb about it in the owner's manual.

It seems happen if you start the car with the front wheels turned out. If you parked the car and shut it down with the wheels turned, upon start up the computer is checking the steering sensors and seems to get slightly confused by this and then for some unknown reason to me, delays itself checking the AH and in turn sends the message you have seen! Next time it happens, check to see where the steering wheel was when you started the car! Also, is nothing to worry about!

PS Elvisf16, your Z06 looks awesome in your sig pic. Sweet car! Nice shine!

I think Glennm27 has it. If I remember correctly AH actually reads your car during a straight line movement for a little bit at startup. This is to get a feel for how "heavy" the car is with contents at that moment. It helps fill in the AH variables as to how to react during an AH situation.

I had this happen once or twice, everything seems to be fine.

Anyone get this message, I was backing into a spot and the active handling message came up- telling me that active handling had intervened. I was also cutting the wheel as I was backing up, but I was going maybe 5mph. What up with 'dat?
