There have been a number of threads about installing insulation to the C5 and the various benefits. I have seen the great DIY thread by Patches and others and will probably do this mod when installing my new tunnel plate as well. Question is: has anyone used the products from Second Skin. Specifically their thin vibration dampner and their sound insulation, Luxury Liner. The products are more pricey than some of the available kits but they look like quality stuff. If anyone has experience with their products I would like to hear your comments. Thanks.
Many feel second skin is as good as it gets. I would recommend posting this same question in electronics or do a search of the threads for second skin and you should see a lot of discussions...
Yes. The luxury liner is a fantasic product and will give you real actual benefit in the road noise range. If you want to battle noise, you have to go thick and heavy. Simple physics.
You can use the damplifier pro like... a pro. Cover 25% of panels, in the center. Covering the entire interior of a car in damping mat is just a waste.
Alternatively, Raamat is a supporting vendor. Their damping mat is a great bang for the buck value. I would still top it with luxury liner.
