if you say yes to the question above,
have you pulled the intake to confirm?
Mine is from Chip at CCA and I did change my intake a few months ago and it was clean, Not so sure it would have been oily without the catch can, But it looks good.
CCW is also what I use... Does catch a decent amount of oil but no I didn't remove the intake yet. Looks Great Too!!!!
Nice photo. Nice connections.
I also use the CCA can. It works well. Have not confirmed with intake off yet.
You will need to check it and drain periodically. Instead of using petcock on the bottom I have pulled the unit and have drained away from car. It's a mess using the petcock.
Make sure you have good hose connections otherwise you may have loss of HP instead of gain of HP (computer fuel trim adjustment issues PO171/174 and PO172/175).

AMW.
Yes.
NO catch can will eliminate ALL oil from entering the intake manifold. That's why I also installed a coalescing filter (contact Dave68 for more info), in addition to the CC.
Removal of the intake is not necessary to see if any device is "working". Either shine a flashlight past the TB blade or if you are really industrious and just like to remove stuff for fun, remove the TB itself.
I have never had a oil consumption issue with any of my C5s but all have the particulate filter from CCA/ Mike Norris plus a CCA can modified with a Binks 86-617 coalescing filter element.
The same type catch can set ups are also used in my '87 Grand National, Mustang GT350.

I'm using the Elite Engineering catch can, and Yes, it does work!
I pull it off every few months and drain several ounces of oil. The beauty of the Elite unit is the bottom of the can unscrews, making it very easy to remove without any mess.
I don't have a catch can installed yet. I did notice some build up on my 03 Z06 around the TB I cleaned it out. After reading this thread I am considering buying one.
