So I just got back from a nice afternoon drive and I just wanted to say that I saw 4 other vettes and everyone of them gave me a wave. It was great to see other enthusiasts out there.
Remember, we C-5 (with fogs) have an advantage to add to the wave. Make sure your fog button is "on" and flash your high beams (while they are down) and the fogs will flash! Never not received a wave!

I would say in the DC area I get about 80% waves but didn't know about the fog light trick, will try that the next time I'm out

C5 and C6 drivers rarely wave when I am in one of my older Vettes. Most everyone on this sight is enthusiastic about Corvettes and will wave. To alot of owners of newer Vettes the tradition of waving and the history of the Corvette is a mystery to them.

when the headlights are down, pulling the stalk towards you will activate the fogs while the stalk is rearward. the fog switch isn't involved. nor does the key have to be on to flash the fogs
Oddly enough, even though I wave a everyone in a Vette, C3s seldom wave back.........
Chrome bumper C3's usually wave. The newer C3's tend to be cheap rides for those just seeking a vette as a daily driver and not an "enthusiast". Generalizing here so I hope I don't step on anyone's toes
