[Z06] Not looking for a Z06 anymore
No pics yet.
She's a black 2003, all original.
Just flushed out the clutch fluid, it was a little dark but that was it.
Gonna change the following:
brake fluid
oil
differential
Everything is going to be switched to Amsoil full synthetic.
Haven't had a 'Vette since I got rid of my '88 so I got a few flashbacks:
rattles
cheap seat belts
The previous owner had a plate installed between the exhaust outlets that rattles a little bit. When I get the time/motivation, I'll look into it.
The car is all original, no mods. 51k miles on her.
Haven't driven much due to a heavy workload but I'll drive more once the weekend gets here and after I get the windows tinted.
Few more things I'll do:
check for CLB
shifter has to go, it's just too "dollar store" for my tastes (which aren't really that high!)
1-4 might go
Blackwing
Congrats on the car- you will LOVE it! I know I love mine more than any of the C4's I had.
I just did the air filter, cleaned the throttle body, engine oil & filter, trans oil, diff oil, brake fluid, clutch fluid, coolant, Power Steering fluid, and I even changed out the windshield washer fluid! I used the Amsoil nanofiber air & oil filters, good stuff! Then I replaced the brakes & rotors with the ACDelco ceramic pads & drilled & slotted rotors. Now my wheels stay pretty clean! Next is a new fuel filter, new wiper blades & pull the spark plugs to inspect them. I'm thinking new tires after the Holidays.
Drive Safe & Enjoy!

-I changed the shifter and installed the IPod adapter at the same time. Both changes are still 2 of my favorites!
Just my 2 cents but I think the 1-4 is just plain dangerous. It always seemed to get me while turning left in traffic. All the sudden it would kick in and I would think what the F* is going on.
Then I realized that I was fighting a losing battle against the dusty/sandy OK wind. 10 minutes after I washed it, there was a fine film of sand over it.
It discouraged me from taking pics, that and the fact that my Nikon is disassembled and locked up in its case.I ended up taking the exhaust plate out. It was rattling because one of the screws was missing. It looks very plain back there right now so I might pick up another screw and put it back on.
Another mod that I'm going to do:
The stock air bridge has to go. It's just too cheap of a piece of plastic for me to leave in there.
I'm going to change the oil next weekend over to Amsoil and also use a bottle of engine flush in there.
Brakes will be bled as well.
One of the rear rotors has some scoring, I'll probably replace the rears.
Cleaned out the interior today, it shines.

Previous owner had a front plate on, didn't have the filler so I'll call and look for one.
However, I'm concerned about this:
