Recently got a 97 C5 and the previous owner seems to have taken a touch-up brush to the passenger side corvette letters. The worst part is he was a little sloppy in his application. Any suggestions as to what to use to remove it without messing up the plastic?
I'd try some paint thinner first on a place that doesn't show to see if any damage is done, if it looks ok then give the paint a try, I'm not sure that lacquer thinner will be good on the vinyl.

I don't think your gonna be happy with Lacquer thinner. It isn't safe using it on Vinyl. I'd use paint thinner or Mineral Spirits and I'd use it on a Qtip instead. Can't take it back once you do it.
I think I'll try and find a spot that isn't too noticeable first and try them on, thanks for the input guys. Going to have to wait till tomorrow anyway.
I'd just clean around the letters then buy some inserts from one of the corvette vendors... Lacquer thinner could damage the vinyl as others have mentioned.
