Hey folks, If you're on praying ground (or not), please remember our men and women in arms at Fort Hood, TX. The losses are tragic and healing from that will take some time. I'm sure we have a few Corvetters out in that area.
I agree....I feel really bad being a military officer and this happens....it sucks that we survive a year in combat in either Iraq or Afghanistan and come home to this....pray for those families and community.......
As a mark of respect for the victims of the violence at Fort Hood’s Soldier Family Readiness Center on Thursday, November 5, 2009, the Secretary of Defense directs that U.S. forces throughout the United States and abroad observe a moment of silence beginning at 1:34PM CST (1934Z). Friday, November 6, 2009.
That moron needs to be eliminated & not try to figure out why he did it.Prayers are going to the families.
Now there is a nut ball on the loose in Orlando shot 8 people.
Our Soldiers are some of the most special people this country has. They serve and they understand the dangers of that service-- but not the threat from our own. Sad. So very sad.
very tragic. It is sad enough to hear about soldiers getting killed during active duty but this is truely wasteful. too bad torture wasn't an option for people this f**ked up.
The shooter should have been thrown out of the military a long time ago. Prayers to my military brothers and sisters and their families.
I find it distrubing that no one in the Psychology/Psychiatry (sic) section where this "Officer" worked noticed any behavioural
warning signs.
I hope the civ. officer that capped him initially heals and walks again,
she was exceptional.
we have a c2 helo pilot who is stationed there, hopefully he was not involved or any others. The key is the moron/possibly closet terroist who did this, not the fact that he was an officer or a member of the medical community. He did not want to go and said he was born in pakistan which isn't a fact. As an ex AF officer I strongly believe the govt in general needs to take a hard look at all of the people who work in the govt especially the military and weed those out who are questionable.......extraordinary times call for extaordinary measures to protect this country and the people therein. GOD BLESS THE FAMILY MEMBERS of those injured or slain.
One of our forum members (noel48) worked the ER there on the day of the shootings. He & his family are caring for SGT Munley's daughter until her family arrives here from the east coast.
I also heard back from forum member spdmn75, who is a helicopter pilot at Ft. Hood, that he is fine.

All our prayers are with the families of this tragedy. Our forces are over in Iraq and Afghanistan trying to preserve world peace and you get some nutball on this side doing this, what a shame. Seal the borders of North America now and send all the low life back to Allah where they belong.
I believe that this is another "situation" when political correctness has again reared its ugly head. Even if the shooter received poor evaluations, (as stated in the news) most likely his supervisors would be reluctant to act more decisively and get him disciplined, etc. How in heck did he get promoted to major (assuming that he entered the army from medical school as a captain) if he had such bad evals.? My thoughts and prayers go out to all affected by this mindless, evil act.
Send the shooter to see his Allah and 72 virgins. I'm sure, when he meets Jesus, he'll have something to answer for. The next one he meets won't be so nice...down below!!!
