You are mad! I've heard horror stories of convertible tops cracking in close to freezing weather, when trying to fold.

i think it's sorta funny how the guys who don't drive in the rain feel about it.
as if they are compleeteing some amazing feat, or are "better" car owners, or like it's "cool" to not drive their cars....
it amuses me.
if i owned a veyron i would drive it in the rain, race it, if i splashed up some mud during hard street dricing it wouldnt bother me, etc.
these things are made to have fun in as far as i can tell.
not driving it in the rain is just rediculous.

I love driving my Corvette but when it rains, well, I'd be in my 06 stock Honda Civic Si with it's nice Goodyear GS-D3 tires.
So, I look at it just the way I might look at what shoes I wear on a given day.
The open toed sandals are great on those nice sunny days and when it's raining or snowing, well I'll chose a more hardy shoe or work boot. Whatever fits the climate. Same thing with the cars...
Nice weather, the Z06 is king of the road and is as much fun as an FA/18, but when it rains, the front wheel drive 200 hp Civic Si with it's rain tires is an absolute blast... Your rear wheel drive C5 would have a hell of a time hanging with the Civic in the wet.......
I've proven that at SCCA Auto-X events..

re
I enjoy my car in all weather, the only time I do not drive it is in snow and the beginning of spring when the roads are sandy.
Its a car that needs to be driven to be happy.
