Does this exhaust mod affect low end torque? I put magnaflow mufflers on my car and its too quiet now. Looking for real world experiences. -Thanks

I don't think it will affect the low end torque. But I put the modded ti on after LT headers and cats. Perfect sound with this combo. Not very loud at idle but sounds great going through the gears. Anything you do to the exhaust system ( x pipe, cats, etc ) will affect the exhaust sound. I would also recommend you look at GHL exhaust. Without headers I think you would like this system. Good Luck.

^^ Ok good. I have LT's already. I had no mufflers and my low end pull was really weak. -Thanks

How hard is it to remove the stock muffler (cat back) from the car with it on jack stands? Is there just the flange bolts and one hanger?

I've done it on jackstands, but it's a scary situation. To remove the stock Ti without cutting (Which is criminal) you have to really put it up in the air. Not an issue with a lift.

I'm planning on removing the stock cat back in the next few days. I am planning to do it on jack stands. When you said it was scary was that because you had to have the car up so far to get the pipes to clear?

Did mine after Long tubes and X-pipe. It does sound amazing. Civil at idle and normal driving, but at wide open it really comes to life.

I couldn't get the car high enough with jackstands so I took it to my buddies house since he's got a lift. For the Passenger side I needed to remove the sway bar mounts and let it swing down in order to get the pipes out.

Nevermind getting them off the car, but do you guys actually know somebody that can weld Ti correctly and did you find the correct grade of Ti welding rod?

The tubing and welding rods can be had at that popular auction site. Just google ti tubing and you should get several choices. I found a local machine shop that did a lot of stainless steel work. It also has to be welded with argon gas same as titanium. Picked it up next day.

Well, if I'm not going to be able to remove the mufflers on jack stands then that changes my plan. I have a friend at work that has a lift at home. I guess I'll have to work something out with him. I have a shop that can do the welding for $200.

You can buy the Ti from titaniumjoe.com
Make sure you get grade 2. The thickness and diameter can vary a little but try to match the stock mufflers as close as possible. The key is finding someone who actually likes welding on Ti or you may not get quality work. I gave someone pics of what I wanted, some Ti tube, and $150 and I'm happy with the results.

I found a pic on the web that tells why you can't do this on jack stands. The pic tells the story.

I think I remember reading that the rear of the car has to be at least 34" off the ground to get it out.
