I was able to get enough time today to install my new front-end splitter from corvettemods.com
Installation:
The installation was relatively easy and can be done without a jack even on a lowered car. I would recommend that you sandwich the very ends of the splitter between the bumper surface and the outer air dam mounts. This also provides added reinforcement against the tape failing at the ends (where failure is most likely for any tape-mounted product) There isn’t any real lines to follow so you just have to eyeball where you want the splitter mounted.
Initial thoughts:
The end result was much better than I expected. It really brings out the aggression in nose of the car AND as an added bonus, covers up all the “oops” marks from scraping my front bumper on things. The color of the material matches the OEM air dams. I believe it would easily clean up to a nice shine with some purpose built cleaner.
Road test thoughts:
While I’m somewhat skeptical of any real performance gains through directed airflow, it does look cool. An important note is that the splitter does not affect the ground clearance of the nose at all. On a grocery run, I encountered a steep driveway and heard the loud yet comforting sound of my “fat daddy wheels”. I inspected the nose expecting to see a torn off splitter…..and NO damage at all.
Final thoughts:
This is one of those “I can’t believe it’s so easy” mods. Everything about it is a win. Thanks corvette mods for a great product.
I like it! It gives the front a more aggressive look. I wonder how it would hold up at 100+MPH? Would it bend/flex or come off due to it being held by only 3M tape. Good looking splitter for sure!

I plan to drill some holes and mount it in place perminantly with screws and washers. That way it won't go anywhere.
For me, the ultimate test is a high pressuree car wash (DIY with the pressure washer)
