I'm in the process of selling my 96 LT4 and then I'm looking for a Z06. I've been looking on Autotrader and other sources and I've found several 2003 Z06's being advertized as 50th Anniversary Editions and therefore asking a premium price. According to the Chev sales brochure, that 2003 50th Anniversary thing applied to coupes and verts only, not the Z06. What is correct?
Bumble-Z is correct. They are all badged as 50th anniversary, but there was a specific model that was a 50th Anniv package. It was red with a shale interior.
"The 50th-anniversary package also features a new interior color scheme of "slate over champagne." This lighter finish is used on the dash and door trim for the first time, offering an alternative to basic black. And the new look adds quite a bit of pop to the interior and looks particularly fetching on the convertible model.
While the paint and interior are exclusively used on the 50th-anniversary models, all 2003 Corvettes, including the Z06, will commemorate the milestone with special badges on the fender and embroidered logos on the floormats and seatbacks"

When I bought my Z, I too had to explain to the owner that it was a Z produced in the 50th year with some "50th" badging, but it was NOT the 50th anniv. package. I still got a good deal as it only came up to show how "great" of price I was getting below KBB priv. party. I still was below KBB P.P., but not as much as the owner said as he selected "50th anniv." on his query. I don't get why its so hard for some to grasp this (not directed at the op).
if you're a C4 guy; lemme put it to you this way... its the same thing as the 1993 vettes.. everyone see's the one badge and thinks there car is an anniversary.. but only the ruby ones are.. same deal here.. but no z06 cars are anniversary.
