Default Heads question

I want to upgrade my heads on my 01 Z06 with 21K miles on it...Would it be better to beef up the current heads or get new heads. I want to put a more aggressive cam in and will take ANY input that you want to give.

That's a pretty general question with too many options to be very specific.

You could get your existing heads ported, buy already ported heads, several other brands with new or ported variations of LS6 heads, 5.3 liter truck heads, etc.

I would ask this question on the Tech board, probably get more information than you will know what to do with. Probably won't be able to decide with so many options. Everyone that has done it one way or another will give you their specifics. Also, you can visit over at www.LS1Tech.com

I think you need to decide exactly what you want from the car, road race, drag race, or....in order to make the right choice.

However, if it was me I would get AFR 205's and be done with it. Expensive but worth it IMHO. It's what I did on my last Vette.

Good Luck

Nick

I'd be interested in your heads if you wanted to sell them.
