No. There is no difference between the two. Confirmed it with the Corvette Black Book.

You are correct!!!
Funny though, I bought my car in Jersey (coupe) and switched the dash to KM and according to my dash I top out at 200km which is 125mph...HA!

Hmmm.....that is possible. I never checked that. Come to think of it, my oil pressure gauge reads in kpa and not psi.

I'm pretty sure you're correct.
My friend's Z06 goes up to 300.
US cars only go up to 200...
Also, I would think there would legally need to be either French, or pictures instead of words (ie. 'service engine soon' lights).

The only obligation that they have is that the any print, IE, owners manual, option list sticker... that sort of thing has to be in both official languages.

As far as MPH or KPH. Do you not just select it in the computer system? I remember on my 99 Vert that I could switch from KPH to MPH?

You do, but if you switch a US car from MPH to KPH it only goes as far as a maximum of 200KPH. If you buy a vette slated for Canada it shows 280KPH.

U.S. speedos go to 299 on the HUD. After you hit 200, it goes to 01 and a little 2 pops up. Switch over to kmph and take it over 200, on the track of course, and you'll see that little "2".
Add this to the loooong list of C5 secrets.

I was under the impression that any text had to be bilingual.
I'm thinking to our Camaro, it could be different for a Corvette, but I don't see why they would go through all the trouble to translate the warnings on the sun visors, and come up with a completely different gauge overlay that does away with any text in favour of symbols. Seems a little over the top for GM if they didn't have to do it.

A simple 'relay-removal' solves that though.
