The first owner of my 99 installed a Corsa Touring system on my ride. Last year I installed the x-pipe to get rid of the baffles and now the tips start to bug me.....they do not look that nice anymore.
Do you guys know if you can replace the tips? On the corsa website I do not find anything on this.
The tips are welded on. I guess you could break the welds and weld on new tips. Call Corsa to see if they will send you new tips.
BTW, what's wrong with the old tips? Can they be brought back to life with a good chrome polish or are they pitted?
I have had Corsas on my vette for about 4 years and the tips look as good as new. Can't image what would make them so bad that you need to replace them.

I agree with getting some good polish and work the tips over - should come out very well. Try Mothers Polish - I've had good luck with it.
I can't remember the vendor that carries the polish, but one of them on here has a polish that, at least from the pictures, does a great job in bringing a shine back to neglected metals. Hopefully someone else will remember the vendor's name and chime in.

I believe it is member PipeDreams or SonOfPipeDreams or something along those lines. I've never used the kit but it usually gets good remarks on the forum. Still, some SS polish from Walmart should do the job no problem.

PipeDreams and SonofPipeDreams are no longer members or supporting vendors here. I cannot post a link or information on how to reach them - do a Google search for custom Corvette parts.
I use Adam's Metal polish on stainless steel and it usually takes out all of the tarnish. You might also try some very fine steel wool - 0000 along with the Adams polish. My problem with most of the metal polishes is that they are paste and it takes a lot of effort to get them to work. The Adams is a liquid - it spreads much easier.
Now for the shameless plug - I'm an Adams dealer and I have the Metal Polish in 6oz bottles for $12.95.
