Default Tire mounting help

I plan to buy C5 Z06 chrome wheels in 18 x 9.5" front and 19 x 11" rear with Nitto Invo's 295/35 and 305/30.
Does this sound like a good fit for a 2001 Z06?
More importantly, does anyone know of a good place to have the tires mounted on the wheels on Long Island, NY.?
I tried a couple of places and they all said that they were too big for them.

Try going to the Tire Rack web site and there you can find a listing of recommended installers for their tires. Use that as a guide in selecting a shop to work on your wheels.

The 295's are a bit tall for the front. I'd stay with the 275/35's.... The 305 will fit the rear ok, but they're a bit short. Not too many choices in 19"... Ask me how I know...

I recently went through this and found the search process for a tire mounting shop to be a nightmare. The estimates I got were anywhere from $11(wal mart) to over $60 per tire. I can't possibly understand why the price variance for such a simple job is so large. I wouldn't trust my wheels with wal mart, so I settled on a local Goodyear shop for about $24 per tire. They did a good job, though I was really hoping to pay less than that.

I know because I run those tires on my car. I have 275/35/18's and 325/30/19's, and the selection sucks. As it is the 275's fit perfect. If you go with the 295's, they are taller and wider, and will rub pretty fiercely. The 305's in the rear are about an inch shorter than the factory tire. IMO, that looks odd, but A LOT of guys run that size. My 325's are the right height, but are wide enough that they just barely rub on the inner fender liner, and a lot of guys don't want that.

Sorry for the delayed response here, I'm on the road at the moment.

I would check those tires diameters if I were you,you need to have at least a 1/2 taller tire in the rear or you will run into traction control problems.

I would consider 275-35x18 for the front and a 305-30x19 in the back. I've been running that combo on my black car for nearly 4 years, and I have never had any rubbing or problems with traction control. Also - those sizes are perfect fits for those width wheels.

The back tire needs to spin slower than the front, so that the T/C system does not interpret that as tire spin and invoke T/C. This is accomplished by having a tire that is about 1/2" taller in the rear than the front.
