Default High oil pressure reading

Why would my oil pressure all of a sudden be 67 psi at idle in my '98 Corvette?

Yep common problem. Mine pegged again yesterday. Relocate it when you fix it. The "proper" way of fixing it does not hold up.

I haven't attempted it yet myself.

TPE has a relocate kit.

The tech sticky also has a version of the relocate http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-t...-relocate.html

I plan to do the TPE version this month now that school is out for a month.

Great piece of information! My oil pressure went to 90+ recently and scared the @#$% out of me. I will continue to drive my 98 coupe and start planning the required maintenance.
