Default Another Fluid Question

Car is an '04 Z06 with 12,400 miles. Any need to change/flush the coolent? How many years is it good for before it breaks down?
Also the car is only a weekend driver and never sees the track/strip so what would you recommend for Diff and Trans fluid? Are GM OE fluids good enough? I am guessing there is no need to do the power steering. I just bought this car and it's my first vette, I would like to get the fluids out and changed before I put it away for the winter.

Thanks for any advice

Coolant- 5 years or 150K miles, whichever comes first. Use DEX-COOL extended life for GM vehicles. Look in your owners manual.

These are lots of posts about these fluid changes, I just did them all on my '03 Z06, with 11K miles. I used Prestone DEX-COOL and distilled water, Mobil 1 5W-30 engine oil, Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF in the trans, Mobil 1 Synthetic Gear Oil in the diff with the 4oz bottle of GM friction modifier, & Redline Synthetic Power Steering Fluid (using a turkey baster). Also sucked out the old brake & clutch fluid with a turkey baster, then refilled with DOT 3 brake fluid, from a new unopened bottle. For the clutch, some use the GM Clutch Fluid.

I prefer Mobil 1 products, others use Redline, Amsoil, Royal Purple, etc.

Just to add another note to the previous post,,,being a newer C5 you have the freedom of choice on the trans and diff fluids. 97 through 2000 you had to be selective of what trans lube,as some synthetics harmed the syncro blocker rings.)1 0n used carbon fiber facings and tolerate all brands! Your good to go with your favorite!!

If it has never been changed, I would definitely change the coolant. I would also change the brake fluid in the car. I would think that factory fluids would be just fine in the car since you don't track it.
