Im considering getting the thrush woodpecker airbrushed on my covers. Honest opinions welcome good or bad. This is just a stencil so far. Woodpecker would have bright red hair and yellow beak ,no surprise.
Maybe Bye Bye or SEE YA also painted on . So what do you think, just an idea at this point.
That's kinda like giving your Corvette a bad tattoo.
A sticker/stencil is one thing, but I doubt the next owner of the car will want it... you'll end up having to buy new covers so that sticking point doesn't raise any distaste in a prospective buyer.
That being said... Perhaps expand on the artwork instead of a simple design that will look like a sticker anyway.
The nice thing about Fuel Rail Covers is that they can easily be changed out or re-painted over
I like your idea and I think it is unique - I mean you could of went with flames but how many already have these and have them in an array of schemes and colors? - But,
As far as I know, I do not believe anyone has your idea of the WOODPECKER on them - If I may suggest just one thing that might really enhance your idea!
Take the Fuel Rail Covers and have them painted a Highgloss color of your choice and then have the WOODPECKER airbrushed on - then it would have a real "DEEP" look to it or a 3D type look! just a thought

Smooth off the existing Corvette letters. This will give you more space to put a bigger design on with, and you can work the "corvette" tag into the new design if you want to.

Yes, and NO!!
I'm okay with the idea of putting something there but in my humble opinion the Thrush bird is a little lo-def for a Vette. Whenever I think of Thrush I think of bad, low dollar mufflers.
Give it a little more thought. I bet you come up with something original and better that this.
thanks, this is what I want honest opinions good or bad. I always loved this emblem since i was a kid. Maybe I can expand on it more so it doesnt look like a sticker
I think if you like it go for it!!
I would take that design...
Add a mini corvette(your color) with the head sticking out the window and flames shootin out of the rear..
Woodpecker head/mini corvette/ flames...Thats a logo!!!
Just the head doesnt have that much impact..
When you open the hood...people should gasp in fascination and say wow!!!
Make it pop!!

Being an old fart, I remember the thrush mufflers and I too always liked the logo. I was even thinking of getting a set of mufflers and grafting them into an exhaust, just for the fun of it. I figured they would drive the purist here up a wall if posted. I always like the moon eyes too.
How are you at the airbrush? I once worked at Micheal's (the craft store) and they had thesea little hand held airbrush units that used small air cartrages. It was not expensive, and looked very managable.
It's your vette, do what you want. Tis part of the fun of owning one.

It is your ride but I do not like the look. If this is your touch of sweetness for the car go for it.

It would be different. If you like that idea, go forward with the painting. You can always change it if you end up wanting something different later on.
