Just wanted to make an introductory post. My wife and I are taking delivery of an EB 2002 Z06 this evening. Of course, it snowed in the last couple days here in SE MI after being 60 degrees on Monday, but it's good enough to get it home. I've been lurking around these forums for the past few weeks while we've been shopping and making our decisions, so a general thanks goes out to everyone here. Reading everything really helped us out.
Any other posters here from downriver Detroit? We'll give you a wave if we see your car. :)
Also, we're looking to possibly attend Bragg-Smith in June if any other forum members are going then.
Hey! Southgate here. My Z-06 is 8 days old. We have had one of the best winters so far. See you at the G.M.Tech center show in June.
(Downriver Corvette Club, meet tuesdays at Pensalt club on Jefferson in the season). :seeya
Congratulations, Jaremy! :D Also, welcome to the CorvetteForum. This is a great place to hang around with folks who know and love the only sports car that matters! :yesnod:
To answer some of questions. All black interior. The dealer actually received this one in on Monday of this week, just in time. I hadn't had a chance to see the black/red personally, but my wife and I both had our thoughts on the EB with full black interior.
Yup, 1st vette. Just turned 25 a couple months ago, and recently made a job change so we figured we could take some of the extra cash and have some fun. Always had my heart set on the 50th anniversary, but with the incentives, GMS, and the rumors about the '03 Z06 not receiving more power nor 50th badging, we figured why not go for the '02, and I always wanted blue. Too bad someone already has my plate though.
The drive home rocked. 2 miles at delivery. 70+ now. Went pretty easy on her, but had to test it out a little bit. We'll have to check out the club, Weasel. Thanks for the notice.
