I have never had that trouble, I have read about the lights not going down when turned off, Did you install the resistor to simulate a load?
That is a strange one, I don't see why the lights would go up if just the parking lights are on. Someone will chime in I am sure.

try cycling your switch on and off a cple of times, and see what it does, see if it works then, with HID installed and checking the operation of them with the key just in the on position can do wierd things
I had that problem after I initally installed my hid lows. What I found out is these hid's will do all kinds of strange stuff if the battery is the least bit low on charge. My problem went away after the battery was fully charged. Even now sometimes if I shut my lights off after the engine is shut off the buckets will stay up. Always turn off and on the lights with the engine running. I dont use the twilight sentinel.

It's actually pretty common with hids. Some do it and some don't. I still haven't figured out why. Some say the gears might be going out, but I changed mine both out and still have that happen. A minor drawback for better lighting.

So do the buckets go back down after turning the "running lights" off? Are running lights the same as what some people call parking lights? I have the HID low beams from JWMotoring and so far haven't had any issues but I want to know what to do just in case I do. BTW I love them.

Yes they go back down once you turn them off. Normally they wouldn't go up. I've only known it to happen if you install the fogs. If just lows you shouldn't experience it.

After scanning the thread I believe
there are two things being brought up here.
What nascar57 is talkin about is caused by not
having the car turned on while turning the lights off. We do suggest keeping the engine running while turning your lights off in order for the resistor to work properly.
Mine would occasionally come up when I turned on the parking lights, too
I had that problem when I had the same mods.
OEM housings with HID bulbs (and ballasts).
HID's in all three locations and the lows/fogs "always on" relay mod.
This would happen intermitently and all while an inline resistor was installed.
I could never figure out why...
Now that I'm running projectors with HID bulbs and the same ballasts, same relay mod and in fact no change to the wiring, the lights go up and down as they should.
Weird?

Thanks for the info Jonathon. I am considering getting your fogs also in the not to distant future.
