No such thing as Factory Chrome Wagon Wheels. Either OEM wheels that were plated or after market wheels.

The Magnetic Selective Ride Control, RPO F55, came out in 2003. It would have the F45 Selective Real Time Damping. Still more costly to repair than standard. Look for RPO F45 on the options sticker (glove box).

Other than that doesn't look like a bad deal at all.

You could add Z06 sway bars that should tighten the body roll and improve handling.
Ok, now I'm confused. I drove the car again today, took it over to a shop and went over it top to bottom and will most likely pick it up tomorrow but I have a question about the magnetic ride control. This guy insists it was available starting in 1998 and it is a factory option. These guys only do Vettes, Porches and Mercedes and do know what they're talking about.

When I look at the invoice I don't see anything listed like magnetic ride control but do see Selective Real Time Damping RPO F45. Is this the same system and we're just caught up on semantics? There is an factory on/off switch on the console behind the shifter and a **** next to that to select the ride quality.

What do you think?

Then you've got Selective Real Time Damping, not Magnetic Ride Control.
I wouldn't let that be a deal breaker. But I would shop around for a shop that really knows something about Corvette's. If they don't know the difference between the two suspension's, it doesn't matter how they present themselves.

Thx, that's what I thought. I know these guys and have done considerable business with them on Vettes before, I can't explain why they missed the boat on this one. Bottom line, the price is right and I have had my mechanic check this thing out in great detail, all's good.

Looks like a go................

It just may be they consider ride control to be ride control by whatever name it's called.

It might make me a little nervous about them ever work on it though.

This is a great resource for info on the C5
