Hello C5 forum members, Recently sold my C3 and I`m now the new owner of a Silver 2004 with 43K miles. The car is all stock and original. The first modification I like to do is change the mufflers. I`d appreciate some advice/opinions as to what sounds good and performs the best. I don`t like interior noise. Second modification I will do is install a cold air intake. What do you recommend? It has to be Calif. legal. Also, would I benefit re-programing the computer? Thanks for your help.
Corsa pace ,sound great no drone , intake , the seem to be all pretty equal. Course you will hear a lot of difference on the exhaust. I had GHL onmy car when stock and loved it , but after cam it had way to much drone.Congrats and good luck!

Congrats on the purchase of your '04. I currently have the Corsa Pace Car catback on mine - looks very good, no drone or popping, and step on the gas and you know it is not a stock muffler system.
I'd recommend Magnaflow with X Pipe. Not too loud, nice deep sound, and good performance. Goes behind the cat converter, so you should not have smog legal problems.
I know someone who bought a Vette with a Corsa and he finds it extremely loud inside. He is planning on getting rid of it. I don't know if it is specific to one model and not typical of Corsas - but just thought I would mention it for the OP.
Congrats on the new ride. You're gonna love it. I've looked at and listened to a chit-load of exhaust trying to figure out which one I want and I believe that the corsa pace car system is what I'll go with. Check 'em out here.

A used C5 Z06 Titanium exhaust, usually around $350 to $400, check this forum parts for sale. Factory exhaust and only slightly louder that your stock, much lighter, great flow, quiet inside with NO DRONE. Most likely do not have to reprogram for exhaust but should reprogram eng. for performance if never done. (aka: Ti's)

Corsa Touring on my 98, nice and quiet until you mash down with your right foot-then you can hear it (and it sounds gooood)
If the popping on deceleration bothers you(I like it),you should look into an "X" pipe,Bassani makes a good one at a reasonable price.

Welcome to C5 World! I have Corsa Pace Car systems and Blackwings on both of my C5's. No drone - loud when you go WOT - quiet when cruising. You won't go wrong with this combo.
May you have miles and miles of smiles with your C5!
If there is ever anything that I can do to help you - whether it's advice or if you are looking for a special C5 accessory, please let me know!

I tried the Z06 Ti's - better, but still too quiet
I tried B&B Bullets - great sound, big increase in power, sounded fantastic at WTO, but the constant drone while cruising made me take 'em off
Corsa Indy Pace Car - just right! Great sound at WTO and no drone for cruising or traveling. I also installed a Bassani X pipe which improved performance, sound and all but eliminated the pop and gurgle. I sorta liked the gurgle!
