Default Vert'd Z0's partition project

i've been wanting a partition in my 'verted Z0 for a while now. i've searched around the forums/vendors and while there's some nice examples out there, there was always something about each one that i didn' really care for, so, as the old saying goes:

"if you want something done right, do it yourself"

one of the complaints i heard from some partition owners is that you have to remove it to remove the cargo covers (which i added since the C5Z0's didn't come with them from the factory). and since i store my "show" set of Z0 floormats back there, i wanted to still have that ability, so on with the project and pics:

this is the concept i modeled up:

i didn't want to have it upholstered entirely with just the carpet, so i covered the vertical partition with some black automotive tweed and the "false" floor with the black trunk liner material.

here are some finished pics from the hatch area. this one shows everything buttoned up:

and a couple showing the floormats in their new "home":

i can slide the cargo cover back under the floor or remove it completely:

from the drop-top side, i added a little design crease (5") down the middle to break up the "flatness" and i mounted an old nose badge to the vertical back wall:

i also wanted the "false" floor to completely follow the contours of the compartment:

and finally, with the top stowed away, it clears the floor and back wall perfectly:

thanks for taking a look at my project.

thoughts?
