I bought the 5mm leds with prefabbed resistors in plug/play oem type holders for a direct replacement for my 2003 Z from Oznium and guess what they don't fit sh@t. I had to take the lights out of the holders for the doors and put them in the oem ones and that worked time consuming thou. Tonight i take apart the dash lower the steering column get the hud/dic panels out and try those and not even close try to swap the bulbs to the oem holders, not happening. Do not buy these they will not fit with out customizing for the doors and now way for the hud/dic. You need 3mm ones up there flat top. Again the oznium are not plug and play dont go thru what i just did. If anyone want to trade 7 5mm white w/ resistor for 7 white 3mm flat top leds with resistor pm me.
Does anyone sell the 3mm w/resistor in plug/play unit in white?
thanx for the heads up bro cause i am about to do that mod soon! sucks that happened to ya. on a better note the corvette club of richmond is coming to va beach next weekend for the lights on the beach thing. are you going?
well...technically they will fit with enough force...lol.
Personally I prefer to removee them and solder them directly to the contacts. This is especially true for the DIC buttons where the type 74 twist lock base doesn't always make a good contact

I answered your PM...
When working on customer's cars I solder in discreets with resistors. You get better control of the depth and angle that way for the best effect...
Autolumination sells a P&P that almost fits the HUD switch, it's the Type A NEO Wedge 74 LED bulb, even those need the holes filed a tad, so it's best to use the stock bases which I recommend regardless, they are built better/stronger. I've also had better luck with their Type Bs that fit the rest of the car's buttons...
BTW Doing White is VERY challenging to get right, especailly the HUD switch!!! There are a variety of buttons with different materials making them up and that damn Off/Intensity slider is just a royal PITA to get looking good... I only do White on a custom basis now, it just takes a LONG time to get it to look nice...
do it yourself and get half a$$ results and unequal lighting or send the stuff to Tim and get amazing result...i tried to do my hvac myself and after hours of messing around the end result was hotspots and generally terrible results......paid Tim for one of his hvac units and i was TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY but the quality of light ...Thanks Tim...going to send you the rest of my stuff this winter

hey kevin i seen your post earlier on those. did you get them tinted? cant wait to see them. i have the halo with the halo mod i did myself and i am wanting to tint mine instead of tinted covers . post some pics
For White, like I mentioned we'll start with the sale price and add the extra hours it takes to get everything done the best it can be. I've only done two complete interiors in White and it's a real PITA! BUT on the flip side to that I have a bit of learning curve already done so it should be faster... For instance the HUD switch alone takes an extra two hours to do versus Blue or Red...
