Default C5 Cup Holder

I have a 2002 Ford Focus Wagon.
There is a removable Rubber Insert about 2.5 inches deep which fits into the molded plastic receptacle cup holders of the Ford console [two actually--driver and passenger].
Tried it in the dumb cup holder of my C5 and damn if it doesn't just squeeze right down in there good and tight.
Only needed to cut off a small nub of rubber about 4mm x 8mm on the bottom.
I squeeze the rubber holder into the Vette holder when I have a cup and then just remove it and throw it in the glove box till needed.
I got the passenger side Rubber Holder from Ford parts for $13 bucks.
Part number 2S4Z-5413562-BAG

Well at least if your 'Vette ever quits on you somewhere, you can blame it on those "damn Ford parts.."

I drive too aggressively to make use of a cup holder. Maybe you guys should trade in for a Benz or Lexus. :P

Sometimes I track my Vette (no cup) and sometimes I drive it to work (cup of coffee.) Which is why I have a Vette, and not an Elise or a Lexus.

One episode of "coffee launched into passenger seat" has taught me to differentiate the two events. It is unfortunate that I have to keep a lid on it until after I've finished my coffee.

Thanks for the tip - the C5 cupholder is practically worthless as it is and if this works, then at least it will be functional.

For all the hell C4's get, I will say that the cup holders.. yes 2 of them are SO MUCH BETTER than that excuse of one in the C5. Really sad actually
