Default Underhood Appearance Suggestions?

After several years of the same appearance, I am debating on changing the current appearance. I like the way it looks but have an "itch" to change the color. Let me know what thoughts/suggestions you have. Thanks.

Mike

Looks clean and nice, check at pat (flasunhine1) he can hydro carbon your pieces in black carbon fiber , that with the shiny parts and white exterior would look very nice......IMO

Default Doesn't look bad at all. Looks good, but since you asked...

Real carbon fiber sparkles as the light hits different angles. Very cool.

Not a fan of hydro.

Maybe add a few well placed led lights to highlight or showcase a certain area. I like polished engine parts more than covers...

Perhaps some custom airbrushing. Why not buy a nice kit from Hobby Lobby and try your hand at it?

My opinion-
I don't mind painting or polishing existing components, but I really dislike additional covers. The stock FRCs are bad enough - I'd much rather see the coil packs relocated and the valve covers polished.

Covers add weight - Vettes are supposed to be lightweight.

Covers hold heat against components - cooler components perform better and last longer

Covers are often times hard to clean behind

Even worse are covers with C5 logos on them. last time I counted my car had 30 logos or scripts on it in various places. Isn't that enough?... or do we really need to add more?

All of this is a contradiction to what a Corvette is... Lean, Mean and clean.

I like the red, it looks clean not over done. But if you do change let me know, I'm in the middle of a red thing under the hood, The fender covers and tanks are the only major things left to do.
