I have a 01 C5, I am thinking about a magnaflow exhaust # 16732.
Does anyone have them and what are your opinions. Is there any drone at highway speeds? Let me know if there are other types with the same sound.
Thanks
I have had it on my car for 2 years and really like the sound. It has a deep tone to it but not to loud, once you are at crusing speed you don't even hear it. Also fitment was perfect which made installing it a breeze.

,,Don't have them,,but the only complaint I've ever seen posted is, SOME guys want louder sound after they have installed them.If you just want improved sound(and a little better breathing) go for it!! Virtually all systems are an improvement on all fronts over stock. Better sounding idle,,and full throttle,,they really sing as the tach swings toward red line!! Get and X-pipe when you do,,with the different firing order of the LS and the stock H-pipe the idle(kind if a motorboat putt putt sound) is not the greatest,,and the X-pipe pretty much takes that away,,and smooths out the overall sound!!The only down side(to some) is with the stock H gives off a bit of rumble/crackle/pop (mostly with a stick) when downshifting and the tach drops through the 2,000 down through the 1,500 RPM range!! I kinda like it(with my Corsa Touring),,but am still going to install and X!! Hope this helps!!

I agree. I got mine in July and I simply love them. The sound is just perfect and they look amazing. Furthermore, I think they have the best looking exhaust tips. I have very little drone at highway cruise speeds with my 6-speed. You may find louder exhausts, but you will not find a better sounding one. This is what a Corvette was meant to sound like.

I plan on installing the 16732 in January. Question when I look at the assembly pcs. that apparently come with the muffler, I wonder do I need all that? I just want the mufflers (?). The price for the kit seems to average just under 800.00 looking around. Would I be able to buy just the mufflers or do I need all that other hardware?
I have Flowmasters which the baffles on BOTH SIDES fell loose inside the plenum, within 30K miles.
I love my Magnaflow... good deep sound and a nice roar at high revs. Very quiet at highway cruise. I also added the X-pipe to get rid of the H-pipe rattle.

I have the 15713 set with an x pipe and the Magnaflow plate. There's a little bit of drone at a certain rpm that I notice with the windows up, radio off at highway speed of 50 mph, I think. I rarely am at this speed for any length of time so it's not really an issue. Otherwise, at start up,
idle, driving, passing, the sound is just about perfect for me. I think the
quad tips are fantastic looking on the C5.
