Ok, well I came out this morning to find that a tree branch had fallen and done some damage to my car. All on the hood. Sucks but let's try to make something good come out of it. I know some of you guys have had issues with insurance after an accident and had an aftermarket hood or something put on. How can I get the insurance company to do this? I'm guessing it's going to fall under homeowners since it was in the driveway when it happened. Any help would be much appreciated.
or...if your ins co is going to pay the body shop directly, just talk to the body shop about ordering an aftrmarket hood instead of a factory hood.
good luck
You are correct with the vehicle policy but if someone Else's tree did the damage their home owner coverage would be applicable. He could claim under either policy. At least in this State. Most State's HO vary as to how the Commission wrote them.
