Default Question about 2003 Z06 changes

i understand that somewhere in the 2003 model year the corvette underwent a change in the fueling system.
(and maybe some other changes?)

is there any definitive date in production that this happened?

currently shopping, and trying to get into a 2002, but seeing some 2003 cars...

how can i tell if it is an "early" or "late" 2003 without tearing into the car?

thank you!

p.s.
im shopping for a C5 z06... if i plan on upgrading at least to Heads/Cam,

is there any particular year that is most desirable? my own assumptions have (obviously) lead me to the 2002 model year since that was when it got the bump in power (but does that only come from the cam? since i will be changing it) and it was also when HUD became standard.

thanks again

Look at the last 5 digits of your VIN. 14929 produced on 11/25/02 and newer are the newer pain in the butt FFS fuel pump that require you to drop the rear end.

The sticker inside the drivers door has the mfg date at the top.

The VIN (not date) conflicts with the following:
