I've run those sizes before with no issues. Every time when you first start driving the car uses the ABS sensor to figure out the tire diameters. It is pretty flexible...
I would like to stick with the PS2s and a wider tire in the rear; what is my bet option?
If you insist on the 315/30 rear, I would stick with the 265/40 front. I have PS2's in stock sizes and they work great...much better all around tire than the GY F1SC's. I would have liked to go 305/35 on the rear, but they don't make that size in PS's.
Will I have any traction control or active handling system issues while running 315/30/18 ; 275/40/17 Michelins PS2’s on my Z? Thank you.
Your OEM stagger is rear tires are .500" larger in diameter. This has been the forums mantra or chant for sometime now. Your stagger combination actually makes the fronts .200" larger than the rears. http://www.rims-n-tires.com/rt_specs.jsp?postId=906
I used the tire calculator, removed the rim view, and things cleared up quite a bit. I think I going to roll with 335/30/18 tire diameter of 659mm in the rear and 265/40/17 tire diameter of 644mm up front a difference of 15mm. Will I have any issues with the 335/30/18? Who ever knew that picking tires for you vette could become so time consuming. Thanks

I have run the 275F and 315R combo in the past w/o issues, you will be fine. Its not as complicated as people make it out to be.
Will inform us of the aspect ratio are you using with both 275 and 315 tire widths? Are you encouraging the thread originator to forget about tire stagger? Or that your separate experience showed no ill affect?
Being that Greeneyemonster wants to use Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 I don't see using a 315/30 with a 265 or 275 only 40% aspect is produced. The tire stagger is important for traction, active handling and competition modes. If the tire stagger is OT , you can turn off the comp. mode to gain that 10mm.
Besides a 30% rear tire sidewall looks funny compared to the 40% on the fronts. With the Michelin stay with OEM sizes with OEM wheels.

Breathe buddy, its ok. Like I said aswell as others have run that combo without issues (275/40, 315/30), the percentage of stagar isnt as big of deal as people make it out to be, I never said dont run any stager. But I even drove around for a couple thousand miles with 275/40/17 tires on all 4 corners and the ABS only freaked out once. I dont really care what he does, just simiply stating that it will work which is what he asked to start with.

Contrary to popular belief, you don't need to maintain the stock front to rear tire diameter difference for the traction control. In fact, you can run the same diameter at all four corners with no issues.
