Default Need Opinions

I would like opinions, I have a 99 C5 with a catback that was on the car when I purchased it (not sure the brand) I like the sound of it now but not loud enough for my taste. I am installing an ASA Cam and when I do so I am going to put long tubes with off road x pipe. Heres where I need help I am looking at the OBX long tubes and x pipe, a friend of mine has them on a C5 ZO6 and loves them. They can be purchased on ebay for 600.00 the de lima I have another friend I can purchase a full CORSA exhaust from to put on the car for 1200.00
What do you guys think which route would you go?

I would wait until you have installed the cam and headers since it will get louder. A set of ported heads - even more. I have a set of cutouts on my heads/cam/header/catback coupe that satisfy my need for the occassional race-mode jaunt but still allows me to keep it civilized when necessary - like when driving into the subd at 2AM.

i'd probably keep the cat back exhaust you have on now, and get those headers.

adding a cam, and heads will really make the car a lot louder.

patches, that is a very sweet setup you have their.

Put the headers on first and then see if you like the sound and those Corsa's are over priced for $1200, I had Pace Cars on my Vette and loved them

I would do the headers and x-pipe along with the cam and then see how the car sounds. You can always change the mufflers if you still want more noise.

GHL Bullets from CCA, a forum vendor. Recently switched from Z06 Ti's.

Here are the GHL's. He recently ran an awesome sale on these.

Here's a video of both setups - the Ti's with cutouts open and closed and the GHL's with open and closed cutouts.

Turn up the volume to get a more realistic listen.

Patches, that is one nice C5, I bought my C5 with a VR coldair and catback ( not sure the brand) with C6 gunmetal wheels oh and ZO6 front grills and rear brake vents. I bought it and said I was going to leave it alone. I have now purchased an ASA Cam and going to buy long tubes to install all at the same time. It has now begun. haha
