New best mph
Ran a personal best mph for me in my 71,000 mile 2001 Z06. 12.49 @ 115.38
First run with the monster level 3 clutch and RPM rebuilt M12. I tried to launch on the Nitto 555RII extreme road race tires aired down to 20psi and they hooked. Too bad I had too little rpm and let the clutch out too much, yielding a terrible 2.00 60 foot because it bogged. Also running a 3/4 full tank of 10% ethanol pump 93.
Performance mods: 2* more timing and a donaldson air filter I haven't cleaned since 2005
Everything else is as it was from the factory on the engine.
I only made one pass because I got to the track early, and the 4th car down the track oiled it down forcing a 1.5 hr cleanup, then another 30 minutes before I got to make my first run even though I was sitting in the staging lanes before the track was prepped for racing. I live 57 miles away and it cost $30 to race, oh well it was worth it though.
