I don't know exactly how to explain it but I bought a set of Bridgestone's about a month ago... had no problems... just had my car in the shop for brakes... then just in the shop again for headers/x-pipe install... now when I just picked it up notice that when I am cruising straight and the wheel is straight... when I go to turn left or right its very loose for like 1/2 inch turn right or left... so its driving me crazy because there is no feeling at that area. It also feels weird just holding the steering wheel as i keep shaking it back and forth and it moves very easily.
Wondering if anyone else knows what this is and how to fix it? I never had it until the latest shop visit.

Hard to say what it might be since it doesn't seem like the work that was done would have affected your steering wheel. I'd take it back in and ask them to have a look at it.
i have the same problem. it doesnt move a half inch mine moves about a 1/4 of an inch. my car drives perfectly straight its just that there is a little slack. annoying!
Check to make sure the Pinch Bolt is torqued to spec. If it is not tight you will get that delayed response or slop in the steering wheel. I have had the Dealership not tighten mine properly twice after removing the rack. If that is your problem it is an easy fix on the driver's side of the engine compartment from above.

Had the same problem after a steering position sensor was replaced and this fixed the play in the steering wheel.
