what a day!!!

ok so i did a few errands this morning. got home started working on the vette. i bled my brakes, lubricated all my bushings, re torqued my wheels, and right before i was done i saw oil all over my cats, so i crawl under and my oil filter was loose!!! that explains why my car was running 14 pounds of oil pressure at optimum temps idle. i take vette for a spin to see how my oil pressure was and it was at 36 pounds at idle. MUCH BETTER!!! i got on it on the way back and got pulled over

the cop let me go he knew i was speeding. he just wrote me up for no front license plate. what a day. thank you guys for listening.

how much oil did you lose? Did you just change the oil today? How long was it like that?
Id be worried about damage to the engine with low oil pressure or low oil period

All in all,,not really a bad day!!! Imagine how it WOULD HAVE been if you had not caught the oil filter when you did!!! A minor ticket when he could have nailed you for two,,saved motor,,,I'd say NOT ALL THAT BAD!!! Merry Christmas!!!

no my car was not low on oil at all. didnt even have to fill it up after i found the problem. it has been about 3k on the oil filter so for some reason it just came loose. WEIRD!?! yes it ended up a great day thank you guys. Merry Christmas!!!
