I am thinking of putting the 2 fender decals on my red vette. Do the decals come with a template of where they go. Also what color do you recommend for a red convert. does anyone have any pictures of these decals on a red convert. Thanks Jim

Since these decals were never offered on the C5 from the plant- I don't think there is a "proper exact placement". Look at photos of the '96 Grand Sport and use that as a guide - but remember that the '96 did not have a hood separate from the fenders and that the fenders are a different shape.
Here are some good quality pics to get an idea.....

You know how it goes - Jim. Opinions are like noses (insert other impolite body part instead of noses) - everyone has one and everyone else's smells! Don't take offense.
The OP did not ask for opinions on how they look or if he should....just where should they be positioned.

I have stripes from Vettestripes on my white they look great and the company is great to deal with will help you with any problems right away, They also have other type stripes on there web site check them out.
I spent $30.00 for a pair from a Corvette vendor and after about 30 min. of trying to make them work, I tossed them away. The curvature of the fender vs. the flat decal just was not going to work without winkles. Better to mask it off and shoot it in the color of your choice and then clear coat the entire fender.

Buy some high quality vinyl and take your time and they go on nice and flat with no wrinkles/bubbles. I had a guy install mine and they looked great after he was done. Going with vinyl instead of painting will allow for the easy removal should you eventually change your mind on the hashmarks and costs a heck of a lot less (my vinyl ones were $20 installed).
As for the color, black or silver would look good on a red car.
