I like the slightly smaller C6z three spoke wheel better than the dated looking C5 wheel...anyone know if this conversion is possible? Forgive me if this has been discussed already.
I'm watching because I'm very interested in doing this also. I was told it couldn't be done, but not why, so I'm still at mabey.
I talked to John Caravaggio about this and the problem is that there is no way to adapt the c5 column to accept the c6 wheel ( or vise versa ) anyway he told me that to do a 1 off steering wheel would run about 5600.00 and that there is no way he could produce and sell enough to make it worth his while.
Very cool thought though. I would buy one in a minute
A good looking wheel can be had from DS Vettes, still a c5 wheel but with nice "D" shape with thumb grips.
Reasonably priced and great quality. There are a few samples of them on the forum
Seen the others...I would just like to know why it can't be done. I would like to hear from someone who has seen the backside of both and can describe what doesn't fit. What about airbag compatibility? Anything is possible if your determined.

Well, the C6 has been out long enough to find salvage parts. Buy a steering column and have at it.
That might be the way to go-transplant the whole column, rack and everything if it's possible. You could use an '08 and up or whenever they supposedly improved the racks steering feel. I'm thinking that you could custom machine an adapter for much less than that though.
