C5 Z06 Caliper question.

I was thinking about purchasing the red Z06 calipers. Are there any differences between the the Z06 and the ones on my 00 vert ? Or should I just paint mine red and save the the difference to spend on another mod. They run about 400.00 from what I can see.

They are the same, Only color is different, I painted mine because I am lazy and they turned out real well, I used the Duplicolor Caliper paint and are holding up really well, One thing I would do it thin out the paint a bit, It is really thick and make sure you trep them well.

Just paint the ones you have as there's not any difference other than color.

Another option is to purchase some powdered coated ones from forum vendor Mike the powder coater

For 21 bucks for the brake caliper paint kit you have the same thing.Spend you money on something else!

I painted mine with a VHT rattle can I got at AutoZone. Mask off the area really well. Clean the calipers with thinner. Spray several light coats of paint until covered. Clean off the letters with a old t-shirt streched over your index finger dipped in thinner. I did mine over 2 years ago and they still look great!
