First of all, I could not have done it without Cajundude's online instructions: thanks a million!
Second, I concur with what has been said about the Vararam on this forum. When I opened the box, I thought they had shipped me a project from an 8th grade shop class. Fit and finish apparently were not included, and my 6 year old daughter could write better instructions. It took me ~4hrs with a few breaks and countless curses under my breath.
HOWEVER.....after driving the car I must say that the SOTP feel is outstanding. In the spring I'll hit the drag strip to check the improvement; I anticipate it will be impressive.

All things being equal, you will see 2 or 3 10/ths improvement.

With ALL of the above'
1. Cajundude did us all a favor when he took the time to do his in-depth write up
2. They certainly didn't spend a lot of time on the "appearance" of the vararam. I guess they feel like it will rest on it's performance
3. These things really wake a car up. Hard not to feel the difference when you first drive it.
Congrats on a great mod! I had 2 other intakes before the vararam, and wish I had just got it the first time around.
As to some of the quality issues, I agree , however, if they had made it with higher quality parts, it would be 200-300 bucks more, and everyone would complain about the cost. Can't have your cake and eat it too.
Never bothered me, so long as it works, and it DOES
it is a pita to do the 1st time then after that you know how it works and can be done in no time at all!!! great mod and wouldnt get any other air intake mod well except if i got a supercharger
