Worst Seats Ever
) and I'd love to get a set of Corbeau's. It really bothers me how 1/2 of my seat (the door side) is worn down.
Stock seats are a compromise considering all of the factors - and what you describe is narrow focus single purpose.
I've sat in some purpose built racing seats, and I sure wouldn't want to have to spend 10-12 hours behind the wheel or have to run errands getting in and out of the car a half dozen times in a day. They might be great for a twenty or thirty minute stint behind the wheel strapped in going around a road course supporting you and keeping you centered behind the controls....but they would suck for just about everything else.
Go buy a set of race seats if that's what you need.
Honestly, I feel that is all the seats really need. They are very comfortable. I am 6 even and closer to 170lbs with an athletic build. I turn the side support up completely and feel decent in daily driving. However I think adding bigger leg and side bolsters by maybe an inch or three in the legs and sides would do wonders for the avid racers.

I have found that alot of racing seats dont give me the support or position I want.
Neither do these.
I used to race alot, and even professionally (though not so much that you would see my name on a ticket anywhere - just sponsored by a manufacturer and did the circuit for a few years .... given that was YEARS ago!!!)
I have found that all the luxury race seats are nice, once fitted to the driver (well except the hardcore plastic or carbon fiber ones - talk about a miserable driving experience). I have used many, and found that they all need tweaking. The ones I have now need to be adjusted in the rear so that they give more support. The ones I have in my M3 need about an inch more of height and about an inch more then that in the rear. Basically as you can tell I dont like driving feeling like I am in the crease of my couch with my butt down low. But thats me.
Basically what I am saying is: buy the best looking, best fitting, best priced seat out there. One that fits exactly what YOU want, put it in and then adjust it. I have made many wedges and spacers to adjust the seat. The key is to maintain the original integrity while making it work for you.
Hope this helps
mine came with my car, my only problem with them is that im 5'5 and i can barely push the clutch in all the way with the seat all the way forward
i gotta pull mine out and see if i came move the seat mount
