Default Porting TB and INTAKE

Im sure theres many many threads about porting TB and Intake but, I would like some one to explain how to get the best performance for my money spent. I got headers, x pype, catback, vararam, dyno tune. (will get gears, stall, head and cam next) I know NOTHING AT ALL about what to port, how much or to what mm, ect.... Also where can i send it to or is there anyone here near San Antonio Tx. And how much can i expect to pay. THANK YOU

I would personally wait to get a port job done until you've got your Heads and Cam sorted out. You'll want the intake manifold to complement those two parts nicely. It would be in your best interest to go with a FAST LSX or similar aftermarket intake. You can also have it ported for a little more oomf and slap on a ported 92mm tb on there as well. That will really work wonders for your heads and cam and gather up a lot of stray HP.

Not a bad idea to explore all the options for making additional power. My advice to you would be to wait until you get your heads/cam package figured out, what heads, what size cam. I would speak to a forum vendor here, or, if you know of a local shop near you that specializes in vettes only speak with them about everything, your cam selection, heads, and then also inquire about porting.

Sometimes it is not needed and the money you will spend will not be worth the potential HP gain. For me, I did not go with a monster cam, just a mid-size cam and the money to port the intake, or buy a Fast intake (600-700 bucks to buy not including porting) was not worth the gain to me (15-20hp at flywheel). I was told this when shopping around by a few different tuners.. and based on my cam selection.

In your case, dependin on your cam selection you may indeed benefit quite a bit from porting the TB and Intake.

Good luck, trust the experts on this one
