I just picked up an 01 Z06 and I am giddy like a kid in a candy store. It is really clean with really low miles for an 01 (13k) and has had a lot of modifications done to it (that is why i bought it) and it is fast. I currently own an 03 Cobra as well. I have the best of both worlds.
Now with would this be wrong to do? The Z has a built 415 ci motor. It is not a 427, would it be wrong to put 2- 427 emblems on the fuel rail covers (one one each side)? That is the only place I will display those emblems. i will not put them any where on the exterior, just on the fuel rail covers. Please be gentle with me if it is a bad idea.
Personally, if it's a lie, I wouldn't do it. Especially if you take your car to a lot of car meets on the weekends and someone knows the car, they're going to likely call you out on it or laugh at you.
Putting emblems on cars that don't belong reminds me of the Mustang guys that have V6s and put the SVT badges on them. Simply put, it just does not belong IMO.

Just have a set of custom badges made. I left the cu and the hp number off of mine, leaves them guessing.
if its not a 427 then dont do it. To me its a pretty ricer thing to do. If you put 427 on it then on the back bumper throw a Type R or GT-R badge on it to.
