I'm a little peeved about a couple of small defects the car showed up with, apparently bestowed at Bowling Green, since I saw the car roll off the delivery truck and have been with it ever since.
One is a small paint ding inside the passenger door well. The body shop assured me they could fix it by doing a small repair and then repainting that entire inside panel.
The other thing, and this is really small but I notice it every time I open the door, is a bubble under that black strip in the driver's side doorwell. I keep pressing it back down but it won't stay.
I am wondering if they can really repaint panels and have it look as good as new. And if I should demand they fix the ridiculous bubble I see under that black strip every time I open the door?

Paint? Yes they can, no problem, if they have a good paint dude/dudette.
I'm still trying to figure out the "bubble" & where it exists... Can we get a pic?

Try poking a hole in the bubble with a pin (to release trapped air), then pressing it down. You might get lucky.
The body shop will have to practice adding orange peel to the repair.
That's funny. I had to have a little paint work done on my 00 SS and the door they did look better than the entire car. In fact the body guy said he left some orange peel so it would match. Too Funny!
The paint ding on the pax side is something that should have never made it past QA, but I'm glad to hear they can fix it as good as new at the body shop, orange peel and all.
The pinhole is a good idea for the air bubble. I had thought about it but decided I'd ask here first.
It's actually because of what I'd read in this forum that I didn't expect to see a perfect paint job when I took delivery. So I wasn't surprised or upset to find a couple of small swirl marks, hologram-looking areas, orange peel, etc. But that ding sort of irritated me.
Zaino goes a long way to make up for what GM lacks in their paint jobs.
Incidentally, I just received a new shipment of Zaino, including their new stuff that you just add to the polish to make it lock (eliminates the need for Z-1). I'm interested to see how it will work.

The weather stripping came completely loose on my driver's side. Take it back to the dealer and they can fix it.
