Default Help needed on Borla Purchase

I kind of got myself between a rock and a hard place. I saw someone with a used Borla Stinger on Craigslist. That system was on my short list for a new exhaust for my 02 Z. The guy lived in Boca Raton so I'm in West Palm Beach so I went to look at it. He said that it was still on his 99 C5, that he had just bought it a couple of months ago and paid like $1400 for it. He said that he was going to install a Supercharger and he wanted a higher tone. He said he wanted a Mangaflow. He wanted $900 for the Borla, I thought it looked good and sounded great. We filled out a receipt for a $100 deposit and he was to get the Mangaflow so I could get the Borla. Went I was on the way home I remembered that he had the Borla system welded and I was a little worried that maybe I shouldn't have bought a system that was welded because of the worry that it might not look right on my car. Then when I get home I check the prices for the Borla Stinger w/Quad Dual tips and Maryland Speed has it for $949 and Southern Car Parts has it today for $850.99. I don't know what shipping would be but you can see where I'm going. The guy called yesterday and said that he was having trouble getting the Mangaflow and it might be 2 weeks before I could get the Borla. I don't know what to do. I could just walk on the $100 deposit and buy from Southern and only have $950 + shipping. Or I could see if he would give me back the $100 since he can't have the Borla ready to sell. Or I could just wait, pay the $900 and hope the welded alignment works for my car. I'm a good guy but I care about getting a good deal. He said he paid $1400 and thought he was giving me a good deal.

Yea, that dude is full of it. He might have paid 1500 for his entire exhaust system (headers, xpipe and borlas) but not just for the Borlas. I bought mine from Southern Car Parts and I dont think I could have found a better deal!
