Default Sound divider/partition

Where can I purchase a sound divider/partition that goes between the trunk and seating in the Z06?

Thanks, jcs44

Southern Car Parts is the company where I purchased mine. Good quality and excellent service from a well established Vette supplier. You will find that the partition will cut down on some of the road noise and look good as well. Best of luck with your choice!

I also got mine from SOUTHERN CAR PARTS. If you're patient, you can find them used in the classified forum.

Some prefer to make their own from Styrofoam/vinyl or carpet.

Default partition purpose>>>...

I have yet to see a partition that worked as well as a good DIY. The fitment varies widely.

I'm not aware of styrofoam being used ( styrafoam is noisy if it rubs on anything), but I use two (2) inch ridgid polypropylene foil backed insulation board .

Understand that your speakers are in the trunk and the noise partition will mute their sound. I am fabricating a new partition ( 'cause I'm installing a modified Wolfe four (4) point roll bar) and will be incorporating 6.5 Bose speakers into the partition along with new raised logo.

My experience in getting carpet color and nap direction to match OEM was difficult ( **that was a number of years ago) so I use leather to match interior.
Something to think about if you're a DYIer.

Diesel Dve 56, You did a great job fabricating the partition. I loaned mine (commercially produced) to a friend who has a Z, and he was able to duplicate the pattern successfully. I think that he acquired a stick-on C5 emblem, and the finished product looked equally as good as mine. It think that he used "space-age" foam that he got from his job and commerical grade black carpeting. DIY can save some bucks and do the job of isolating some of the annoying tire sound from the rear.

I got mine from there with the Z06 405 HP emblem. I love it! It looks good and works great.

Thanks Bronk, The first partition had the hand sulptured C5 flags. I the newest noise partition has 1/4" raised Z06 logo(6X28 inches ) that was laser cut. This will show as embossed. It will be distinctive but understated, crisp.
