Look for a long number that is stamped into each tire. It will start with DOT. The last 4 digits will etll you the week and year the tire was made.
Example: Last 4 digits 2609 tells you the tire was made in the 26th week of 2009
The below pictured tire was made in the 8th week of 2006

All tires have the date, and it's good to know.
Hoping to replace my 03 tires soon .

Good to know but....
I have seen 03 tires in better condition (rubber condition) then 08s. So newer is not always better.
Just picked up wheels and tires for my kids Stang. 08 tires. They looked great.
Pulled them to powder coat the wheels and the rubber is cracked all the way around the sidewall. Could not tell a thing when they were mounted.
Threw the tires in the rubbish heap.

I've known this info for years and have used it many times when buying a car. It is helpful to let you know how long the tires have been on the car often indicating how much the car has been driven since these tires were installed.
It's also helpful when selling a car. My 2004 has 8093 miles with its original tires which are date coded correctly for when the car was built, helping to verify its miles.
