For those wanting to run a BBK or the C6 Z06 brakes like I have, the front clear the calipers with at least 3/8 to 1/2 inch. The rears clear.. but I have now idea how... when you spin the rear wheel it does not contact the caliper.. but you can not see any space or gap between the two... I bought a very thin 1/8 spacer which gives me some comfort that if anything flexes..the wheel wont contact the caliper..
Wow a 10 x 18 would be a serious wheel up front. You would have to run 8 or 9in brakes to clear the wheel and like a 635/35/10 tire though
That's funny... Only thing is I used to work for Fikse USA and dealt with professional race teams, OEM manufacturers, and numerous wheel/tire shops from whom work orders would come to us requesting wheel sizing in this fashion - Basically, what I'm saying is that I'm used to something a little different than what's typically seen at places like TireRack or Discount Tire.
My front 18x 9.5's weigh 19lbs and the rear 19x11's weigh 24lbs. each
Thanks, Nick - That front weight is helpful. Did you weigh them yourself?
I'm also trying to find the weight on the 18 X 11.0 rears, as that's what I'm interested in running. Although, with my old company back in action, I'm probably going to wind up with a set of Fikses... Still, I'd like to know.
